This 2011 Chevrolet Traverse LT was inherited from my late uncle, who took incredible care of its mechanical health. To prove its reliability, I personally drove this vehicle all the way from Arizona to Maryland with absolutely zero problems. It is a quiet, comfortable, and rock-solid cruiser that is completely ready for its next owner.
To be completely transparent, this vehicle carries a rebuilt title. However, there is an incredibly vital piece of context that makes this SUV an absolute steal mechanically: A massive, top-to-bottom preventative maintenance overhaul was completed just weeks BEFORE the incident.
In March 2025, the vehicle underwent a comprehensive mechanical refresh to ensure it ran like new.
The March 2025 Overhaul Included:
- Suspension & Steering: Brand new ball joints, control arms, lower control arms, shocks, and rear shock absorbers.
- Engine & Powertrain: New engine mounts, new transmission mount, and brand new spark plugs.
- Fluids & Filters Flushed/Replaced: Transmission fluid flushed and transmission filter replaced. Coolant/antifreeze, brake fluid, and power steering fluid were all completely flushed and changed.
- Electrical: Brand new battery installed.
The Incident & Rebuilt Title Status
Shortly after this massive overhaul, in April 2025, the vehicle was involved in a minor sideswipe collision.
- The Damage: The damage was localized to the front/side and was deemed minor/cosmetic.
- Safety: Airbags did NOT deploy, and there was no structural or frame damage reported.
- Why is it a Rebuilt Title? Because the cost of cosmetic repairs on a 2011 model neared the insurance company's value threshold, they declared it a total loss. It was professionally repaired, inspected, and issued a Rebuilt Title in Arizona.
Pre-Trip Brake Service & Maryland Inspection
Before embarking on the long drive from Arizona to Maryland, the vehicle was given another round of fresh maintenance to ensure total safety on the highway:
- August 2025 (Prior to the MD Drive): A full front brake service was performed at Midas in Tempe, AZ, including brand new brake pads and brand new brake rotors.
- October 2025 (Post-Arrival): Shortly after arriving in Maryland, the vehicle went through the rigorous Maryland State Safety Inspection, where it successfully passed. Anyone familiar with Maryland laws knows this is one of the toughest safety inspections in the country, completely validating that this vehicle is safe, tight, and 100% roadworthy.
Current Known Issues & Disclosures
In the spirit of total transparency, here are the only minor quirks known with the vehicle:
- Rear Air Conditioning: The vehicle is equipped with a rear A/C system, but it does not cool down. Fortunately, the front climate control system works flawlessly and blows ice-cold air to keep the driver and front passenger comfortable.
- FM Radio Antenna & Bonus Adapter: The factory FM antenna gets a weak signal, so radio stations may experience static.
Bonus Items Included With Sale
To sweeten the deal and ensure you are road-trip ready, I am including the following items for free with the vehicle:
- FM Bluetooth Adapter: Since the factory antenna is weak, I used this adapter flawlessly on my entire cross-country drive to stream music and podcasts directly from my phone. It’s yours to keep!
- Harbor Freight Cargo Carrier: Perfect for camping gear, extra luggage, or coolers. It mounts directly into the vehicle's hitch receiver to instantly expand your cargo capacity without taking up interior space!
